Karen Student Network Group (KSNG) | July 6, 2018

Dear all members of the Karen Student Network Group,

This year, the Karen Student Network Group has turned 22 years old and is already a mature organization. Throughout the twenty two years experience as an organization, both success and challenges and difficulties we have faced. Nevertheless, due to our resilience and strong commitment and determination, we never give up in reaching our common goal, a collective movement to help and support our community in building a genuine and just peace.

We would like to urge our fellow Karen students and youths that as the present moment is significantly critical for us to be focused and actively involved in societal change, a society that is entitled to freedom, equality and equal opportunities as other human beings.

“Let’s all strive for building a genuine peace and justice so that the next generations will not suffer”

Even though the current peace-building is in its process, we still haven’t experienced and achieved the real peace that we expected for. Therefore, there is need for us, students and youths, to be proactively involved in the genuine peace-building movement and do our parts. We also believe that education is the most valuable key to unlock the door of freedom for individuals as well as for our people. Let’s turn the challenges and problems that our Karen people face into opportunities, either in our mindset or in actions.

In building a genuine peace, unity, mutual understanding, and trust are keys therefore we would like to encourage our students and youths to be conciliators among the different factions of our Karen groups, between our Karen people and other ethnic nationalities in Burma.

Toward genuine peace,

Executive Committee
Karen Student Network Group – Headquarter
