International support for displaced people in northern Karen State stopped at the end of September 2017.
Residents of the internally displaced people’s camp, Ei Tu Hta in the Papun district of Karen State are concerned that they will be unable to feed their families – the young and elderly are particularly vulnerable.
The people of Ei Ti Hta are unable to return to the homes they fled from Burma Army attacks due to the continued militarization of their land. The residents of Ei Tu Hta relied on the support of international donors as providing food food for the more than 4,000 people from the surrounding mountainous land is limited.
