The Karen National Defence Organization held Karen Revolution Day ceremonies in Karen State on 31 January 2014. It was the 65th year of the Karen Struggle as the Burmese military regime has been conducting massive human rights violations against the Karen and other ethnic nationalities for decades. The KNDO notes that some 130,000 refugees remain in refugee camps today having fled ethnic cleansing in Burma and that over 300 Burmese military camps are TODAY in 2014 being reinforced with troops. The KNDO demands that Karen and other ethnic peoples be treated as human beings and request the international community to demand Burma withdrawal all 300 camps from Karen State.
